As co-owner and operator of Gatineau Hills Therapeutic Massage, Julie is proud to be an experienced healthcare provider to the people of Chelsea, and to support individuals as they work towards their health goals and well-being.
Julie has a broad interest in wellness, rooted in exposure to many kinds of alternative health philosophies from an early age. To this history, she adds her own personal experiences with chronic pain and overcoming health issues. All of which has helped her become more attune to the sometimes delicate nature of those in need of her services.
Her first goal is to provide for the whole, not simply to symptoms or parts. With the knowledge that everything is connected Julie uses her extensive training and experience to work in a holistic way while affirming the importance of scientifically researched and proven methods.
She has developed a unique and effective style incorporating trigger point therapy, deep tissue work, fascial release, joint mobilizations and hydrotherapy with basic Swedish techniques and is currently focused on the slow release technique known as Fascial Restructuring (TM). By prompting muscles and connective tissues to gently and painlessly return to their natural alignment, this technique has proven very effective for people with chronic pain, surgical scars, sports injury recovery and posture realignment from working at a desk.
Julie graduated from a 2300-hour Massage Therapy program in early 2011 and is currently a member of l'Association des Massothérapeutes du Québec. Furthermore, she is a provider for Blue Cross and welcomes members of the RCMP, refugees and Veterans. She encourages communication for anyone who has questions, concerns or is not able to find the right appointment time, all calls and emails will be promptly answered.
Julie is currently not taking new clients.
